The story behind the album · A note from Matt

Mom Certified

Co-produced with my mother · 2026

This album took shape with my mother—the most kick-ass woman I know.

Her co-producer credit reflects her role in shaping the album’s creative direction with her own taste and opinions. She listened to every track, approved every song and picked the album cover.

One of her favorites is “Keyed Your Car :),” a song about how I should have keyed that asshole’s car. So I made up a car I could key instead. She knew him, too. She understood the assignment.

I’m not receiving any money from UNLIMITED DELUXE. I made this album because I love this music and wanted to shake my ass. I wanted to make something women could turn up, dance to and celebrate themselves with.

I’m a man writing a fictional female artist, inspired by women I love and admire. VA//A:RE isn’t meant to speak for all women or stand in for anyone else’s lived experience. This project celebrates the women who take up space, keep going and give other people permission to do the same.

I also owe a debt to the women in music I grew up listening to—the rappers, singers and performers who dominated their lanes and taught me what power could sound like. They helped shape my love of this music and this album’s attitude.

UNLIMITED DELUXE is for my mom, my sister and every woman who has ever had to kick into overdrive while running on fumes.

This album is all love, all celebration and no reservations.

VA//A:RE began within The Full Story. UNLIMITED DELUXE gives her a record of her own: loud, playful, confident and made to move to.

How the music was made

I’m Matt P., the person behind MP Studio & Designs. I created VA//A:RE, write and develop her lyrics with AI assistance, and direct the sound. I use Suno’s AI tools to generate music and synthetic vocals, then listen, select, reject and refine the results.

VA//A:RE’s singing voice is synthetic. The character’s words and persona are part of a creative project, not the personal testimony of a human performer.

My sister inspired her aesthetic and attitude. My mother helped shape this album’s creative direction, approved the songs and chose the cover.
